WATERFEATURES...WHAT'S NEW...

THE CHELSEA FLOWER SHOW and others. Here you will see how we use the experience of doing 53 medal winning gardens, to design and build very special water features and gardens for our clients...

Chapter Two of Seven

CHELSEA FLOWER SHOW GOLD MEDAL (in the old Marquee, ahhh I can still smell it now)...1993.

If you don't know otherwise this rock is now very rare as it cannot (quite rightly) be removed from the "wild" any longer.

We CAN still get what is now the "Rolls Royce" of rock. BUT we can only get it from reclaimed sources, and because of that it's very expensive!

So if you have a old rock garden of WESTMORLAND LIMESTONE, and you want to sell it let us know.

GOLD MEDAL planting comes as standard with all of our water gardens!

More beautiful planting, this time at Chelsea 2000, a mixture of Aquatic, Bog and "dry" planting this time. When we create a garden for YOU no matter how large or small, this is the (full of interest) effect that you should expect from us.

Just behind and to the left of the white Arum Lillies there's a small sitting area, let us show you more...

And this is what it looked like before. we have just three weeks to create something like this at Chelsea...and this is just one "room"!

This part of the exhibit features Limestone in shades of cream through to a golden buff which gives the space (when combined with the planting style, which we will show you later), a slightly oriental feel.

And because the idea is to create a room within a room the rest of the exhibit, as you will see, uses Brown Limestone...

Here's another part of it, again typical of the style that we use on a daily basis when creating gardens for our clients...which hopefully, after you've taken these in, could be YOU too!!!

What you see here is the "source" of a stream, which is basically a pool...the top "fat" end of the stream, that would have been craved out by the spring that feeds the stream. Which then narrows to become a rocky stream...just as it would in nature.

Like so...and if you look carefully you can see the distant stream through the planting...

Part of another GOLD MEDAL CHELSEA GARDEN...what you see in the foreground is the first rock of a set of stepping stones which cross the water to...

This!

BLENHEIM PALACE FLOWER SHOW...Gold Medal + Best in Show!

Here's something smaller, a small pool with waterfalls, tiny hidden sitting area and the Bog Garden that you can see in the foreground. And next closer up...

Tiny but beautiful...

Here's that rare (only available reclaimed) WESTMORELAND LIMESTONE again, playing host to very rare orchids.

This is a very small part of another CHELSEA GOLD MEDAL exhibit. And don't forget ALL this quality, which partly comes from years of experience creating things like this, at very difficult Shows like this, is available to you in YOUR garden.

More of this Show Garden in the next chapter...
