WATERFEATURES...WHAT'S NEW...

BEFORE and AFTER PLANTING. Most of our clients say..."the way that you plant your gardens and features is beautiful". Well that's because our Designers have

CHAPTER TWO of TEN

All of the images in this chapter are around the same house.

Next is what it looked like one year before...

So we've left the Lakes behind...and now you can see we are in the Cotswolds, where we have a house...but not this house!

This garden was very neglected when the clients moved in...so there was a lot of work to do.

So much so, that we designed, built and planted lots of different gardens within a garden. This is the side of the house...again as the more observant of you will see, no leaves on the trees, so another winter project!

Detail from the front garden, in pathside borders leading to the front pedestrian gate, and next...work in progress:

Note that these are actual images from the garden, not as some Designers do...lift them from an on-line image library! After consulting with clients about likes and dislikes, we personally choose all of the plants ourselves, the clients have as much input as they wish...although most say "I'm leaving it to you"...

Note the gate to the right, and the path that I just referred to leading to it ...

A young Rachael de Thame liking our style of planting...

Again created from nothing...

We created a pond in that area too, all very, very natural.

We did all of this planting just a year before, and just look how happy they are all living and growing together!

Phew...amazing!

Detail from the same natural part of the garden, and again, all of our own images...

Do you think all this just happens?

Well you'd be right...you just have to know what to plant in the first place, then you have to find the plants...then let them do their own thing.

We are very blessed that we have an eye for planting...if we work for you, you will discover that we don't plant to a plan, nor do we plant by numbers. We create in a very artistic way...we sort of paint with plants. We take your vision, but don't worry if you don't have one, and expand on it...but most people, as I wrote earlier, after an initial chat, leave it to us!

We talk to you, find out what you like and what you don't, then off I go visiting up to TEN GROWERS across the country, but only those that allow me to walk around and pick the best plants.

THEN WE CHOOSE ALL OUR OWN PLANTS. NEVER ORDER BLIND FROM A PLANT LIST!

Then once we have a collection of plants, we bring them to you in our own vans, so that we know they won't get damaged then we lay them out in groups ready to plant...

Like this...

This was all new...planted into virgin soil, just on year earlier.

Lots more from this garden in the next chapter...
