WATERFEATURES...WHAT'S NEW...

Examples of similar past projects that I've done...

Here's how we would re-use the existing Westmoreland Limestone, outcrops on both sides of a stream with pools and waterfalls...

And here's some detail (same Westmoreland reclaimed Limestone) of how the stream would flow down the bank...

This stream is much longer than yours would be, but again here's the old Westmoreland Limestone that you have, reclaimed and rebuilt.

As I said on Saturday, with your type of stone we don't create normal waterfalls...that's because Westmoreland doesn't come in thin waterfall pieces, like slate for example, so we have to use the rocks in the way that nature created them.

Here you see water pouring through grooves which were originally created by millions of years of natural water pouring over them...

We don't have quite this amount of space to play with but this is an example of the rocks being laid so that they spread outwards forming natural outcrops. Here it's grass and plants between the rocks, with your project it would be just the plants...

And so to the planting, with the dappled shade and perfect soil for Acers this is the effect that I would create. Acers in the background and aquatic plants in the new beds around the pool...

Different rock to yours but this is the effect (layer upon layer of texture) that I would create with the acers, ferns, hostas and other semi-shade loving plants...
