BLANDFORD FORUM, and next is how it looked before, taken from the other direction, with the willow that you see here, just as leaves, in the background....

Now, as you will see, a much better use of the space that was an old farmyard!

That's some transformation...

Then there was the Old Farmhouse itself, what was just a boring parking area is about to be transformed, into...

A very interesting parking area...

This time with the copious use of Formal Water Features and planting...

There's a Rill to the right (the one that you just saw) and this one that runs down the leftside of the Courtyard.

Both "sources" were designed and built so that they appear to "spring" naturally from some hidden source, which is a speciality of mine, that I had to develope for Chelsea Flower Show Gardens!
The trick is to make them convincing enough to fool the viewer. Above you can see what the area looked like before. The block wall to the left is the backing for a (new) old brick wall, and the steps to the right are...

...yet to be demolished, and this little feature built to feed the Rills, which then head towards the natural pond and appear to disappear...

down and old clay drainpipe and into the pond!
