WATERFEATURES...WHAT'S NEW...

BEFORE and AFTER PLANTING. Most of our clients say..."the way that you plant your gardens and features is beautiful". Well that's because our Designers have

Chapter One of ten (120 images)...

Any planting that we do, we guarantee the plants for a year!

Sometimes, we can plant SIX gardens a month, but usually one a week, somewhere in the country.

But we don't JUST plant gardens, we design the garden and the staff build the garden(s) all under the supervision of the Designers/Site Foremen...laying Patios, Walls, Paths, Steps, Lawns and Borders. Almost all of the gardens that we create have a water feature of some sort...AND THEN WE PLANT THEM!

We once designed...our staff built, and then we planted... TWELVE individual gardens around one very large house, these garden areas were huge, the smallest maybe the size of FOUR tennis courts!!! And all so different...woodland, water, formal, naturalistic...sadly I can't show you any images as we had to sign a confidentially agreement, her being a very, very famous lady!!!

BUT...we can show you lots of pictures of the type of garden that we more usually work in, ranging from TOWN GARDENS to COUNTRY HOUSES...where our style of planting fits very, very well.

Usually while the staff are doing the hardwork creating the spaces for the plants, the Designers go off choosing the plants, here's a few...

Ref...CHIPPING CAMDEN in the COTSWOLDS.

Take another look at the first image. Here is the view looking back towards that same beautiful Cotswold Stone gate.

For these clients we designed and the staff planted...NINE different garden areas over FIVE YEARS!

There will be a lot more of this lovely garden later.

Ref...BROCKENHURST, NEW FOREST

A lot of DESIGN and BUILD here (all done in-house, so only one Designer to deal with), we design it, the staff build it, and while they are doing that...we travel the country putting a collection of plants together, and just a few months later, it's summer...

It's a posh herb garden...based on a chess board layout!

As you can see we don't go in for wimpish plants...lush, instant interest, full of all year colour.

Ref: LYMINGTON, NEW FOREST, HAMPSHIRE...

Lush planting again, and next is how it looked a year earlier, but before you move on, note the red brick wall to get your bearing...

And left...the red brick wall

Ref Lake District.

Here we created a series of gardens. This NATURALISTIC pathway connects two totally different FORMAL GARDEN areas together.

NOTE...everything that you see here has been designed and created in-house, with our "One-Stop-Service...Design-Build-Plant.

It was just flat land...no rocks and no path.

Before we go and explore the Stag Garden, let me show you the Sculpture Garden behind us!

Just finishing the planting.

This again was a nothing space, just a lawn...and that view was obscured a huge hedge, which you will see in the next image.
But before you move on, to get your bearings for the transformation, note the gravel pathway...

Here's the massive 20ft thick Rhododendron hedge...and in the next image it's gone!

So here you can see the slope that we designed and buuilt the steps into, each set of sets was a feature in itself...

By the way, this is a private garden, not a Hotel!

We lined each set of steps up with ground floor windows so that you would look straight out through the topiary to the hills beyond.

Then we added low raised beds, for sculptures, in local Lakeland Stone (our specialist subject), new lawn, all of the Rhododendron gone and colourful shrubs and perennials planted, Lavender, David Austin Roses, Topiary, all very interesting...

And here we are again, the lawn ends, and another garden begins. Lets go and explore...

Again this was just rough old lawn!

More of this later, as we need to show you smaller planting schemes next otherwise you will be think I ONLY do grand schemes...
