PICTURE INFO...Here's the slate retaining wall that we built onto massive foundations, as above it would be a sitting area, Japanese Reflective Pool and planting.



This picture clearly shows the benefits of terracing, it gains so much more usable space...but again terracing on this scale is not for the faint hearted...vast amounts of soil to move, followed by intensive construction followed by planting...this part of the garden took us about 8 weeks! But the effects next, just three years later are amazing!

Not everybody needs low maintenance so here to enhance the naturalistic theme we have created a rock garden to blend the left into the steps and as you can see we have created another lower terrace of slate paving...



As you can see we know how to plant a garden!

Most of the gardens that we plant are semi-instant, as the bulk of our clients don't want to wait years for B&Q size plants to grow...



And there's the lower paved terrace that was featured earlier, accessed by a naturalistic path of slate edged with Lakeland Rock...

Here we had a gently sloping garden, you can see the original levels to the right. The clients wanted a large entertainment space, but not just an ugly patio, so we designed a Herb Garden with a difference on one level and the Dining Terrace on the upper level, and of course, again to do that we had to take out a huge chunk of land, retain the upper level with a lovely stone wall and then create the garden...
