Oxfordshire Cotswolds created by our South Midlands Branch

NATURALISTIC PONDS...created all over the UK from a branch near you.

Ref CHELSEA2000...Here's OUR OWN (and visited by Her Majesty) beautiful "Water Garden", full of interesting elements and detail...which is what we specialise in. So interesting that Sainsbury's have used it for their calender!

This is an "Instant Garden", created from nothing to this in just three weeks.

It's pumping a lot of water, about 50,000 lph, but then it's a very large garden (this is just about a quarter of it)...Main Pool size about 14' x 10'

BARNES created by our London Branch
TOWN GARDEN PROJECT.
See all of this transformation of a rough piece of grass and weeds in later chapters.

Ref COVENTRY created by our Central Midlands Branch...Although it's small...8' x 6', it still needs about 10,000 lph to make it look "natural".

The cigarette packet shows the scale...not because we are heavy smokers!

YORKSHIRE...by our Yorks and North Branch

Ref BUTCHERS ARMS for "Leno" (Created by our Midlands Branch) South Warwickshire Oxfordshire Borders...Here's a "Natural Waterfall" feeding a stream...50,000 lph AT LEAST to look this good. And it needs a large pond at the bottom to pump that amount of water.

This section of the stream varies between 36" and 18" wide and only about 3" deep.

Shallower water in a Natural Stream like this makes more sound...if you've walked next to a mountain stream you will know what I mean.

Ref HAMPTON COURT OUR OWN SHOW GARDEN Silver Gilt Medal..Here's a "Grotto"...what's a Grotto?

It's a cave, we build a sort of horseshoe of rock within the liner, and sit a large flat rock on the top which forms the roof of the cave. The liner has to come right up the back of the lid. The lid itself is the waterfall. We hide pipes with planting and the water dribbles or pours off (the lid of the cave) and splashes into the pool below.

Pumping 10,000 lph, falling about 24". Pool size here is 4 x 6'. Lid is one piece of rock about 4' x 3'...yes that is ONE piece of rock! But it could be made out of several flat pieces supported from below...but that wouldn't look as good.

Notice the Sculpture on the top looking into the water.

Ref BRIGHTON...That was subtle...this is bold, another Grotto, this time one piece of rock 6'long! And (deliberately) noisy...pumping 40,000 lph, dropping 3' and oxygenating a Koi Pool.

So where do we find ONE flat piece of natural stone that's 6' long? Well that's why were are "Specialists" compared to "Bob" down the road, a Landscaper who "does" water features!

Wildlife Mad Family Pond...Grays Essex. Created by our Home Counties London Branch

Ref ALDWICK BAY Sussex, created by our Hampshire Branch...falls to the left, and falls to the right, very interesting!

We built a long stream running down through planting and into the pool. We designed a little area, (for the client to quietly sit, facing the setting sun, the garden was in memory of his wife who had just passed away) hidden in the planting, that you could only get to via stepping stones over the stream, where he could sit with his back against the warm wall and watch the sun sinking into the west.

Ref WEYBRIDGE,Surrey created by our Surrey & Berks Branch...This is about the same size pool, about 16' x 12' and pumping about 40,000 lph...some of that is going over a "Side Fall", which is hardly visible here. It's to the left of the main waterfall.
